This site provides information on how to recognise, avoid and report scams. This is a government run website and it is run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
Australian Cyber Security Centre
Government run website cyber.gov.au provides tips for families and small business with topics like securing your computer, making smart transactions online and keeping kids safe online.
Reporting cybercrime
The Commonwealth, State and Territory governments have introduced a national policing initiative, which allows the public to securely report instances of cybercrime.
It will also provide advice to help people recognise and avoid common types of cybercrime. The website provides information on how to recognise and avoid common forms of cybercrime (such as hacking, online scams, online fraud, identity theft and attacks on computer systems) as well as advice for those who have fallen victim. It also makes reporting cybercrime easier and more convenient for all Australians.
Have I Been Pwned? (HIBP)
With online data breaches increasing, HIBP is a free public service created by Troy Hunt, a Microsoft Regional Director and awardee for Developer Security. Here, you can find out if your details have been compromised in past data breaches.
