International Payments Service
Terms and conditions
Under arrangements we have with Convera (Convera Australia Pty Ltd ABN 24 150 129 749; AFSL 404092), all telegraphic transfers which you initiate through our Internet Banking facility will be sent to the beneficiary's account via Convera. However, the Internet Banking telegraphic transfer facility is provided to you by us and Convera has no responsibility or liability to you for the provision of financial services to you. Your acceptance of a quote will constitute your instruction and authorisation to us to immediately debit the value of your telegraphic transfer (in Australian dollars) from the account you have nominated when using the facility (including the applicable fees and charges payable to us) and to transfer funds to the account of the beneficiary.
The majority of overseas banks levy other processing charges that vary between banks / countries. If these charges are deducted from the transmitted funds this will result in the beneficiary receiving a lesser amount than transmitted. A transaction confirmation does not signify that the telegraphic transfer has been received into the account of the beneficiary. Our overseas bank will normally receive the transfer of funds within 24 hours. Our overseas bank (if they are not the beneficiary bank) may take any normal length of time to on forward the funds to the beneficiary's bank.
Credit Union SA will not be responsible for any delays, errors or omissions in transmission or payment caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control and accepts no liability for any such loss of any kind whatsoever (including any consequential loss and expense) thereby resulting. If an incorrect account number is quoted, banks in some countries will credit that account (if a valid number) notwithstanding that it is not in the name of the stipulated beneficiary without any responsibility on their part. Further, some banks will not separately advise the beneficiary when requested to do so of a credit to their account. Credit Union SA will not be responsible for such actions.
Credit Union SA accepts no liability for any loss that is not caused by the negligence, fraud or willful misconduct of it or its employees.
Credit Union SA accepts no responsibility for acts of default or omission of any kind whatsoever and howsoever caused by its agents, overseas banks, or third parties involved in carrying out your instructions. Telegraphic transfers must be paid for in cleared funds. Credit Union SA will not carry out your instructions unless clear funds are presented. To the extent permitted by law, Credit Union SA's liability for breach of a condition or warranty shall be limited to the cost of having the service supplied again.
